Megapiksel featured in Äripäev's Rapla County TOP companies list
Megapiksel earned a spot this year in Äripäev's list of Rapla County's most successful companies. For us, this recognition carries special meaning, since Megapiksel isn't connected to Rapla just through an address or a registry entry. It's the place where everything began.

We founded Megapiksel in Rapla in 2014. Behind it were brothers Hannes and Sander Saard. After a while, the original idea grew into a team, and on the production side they were joined by local Rapla guys Ergo Pajuväli and Erik Raat. That's how the core group formed, the one that made quite a few video projects together in Megapiksel's early years.
The Rapla County TOP highlights companies that have stood out for consistent growth. Megapiksel's journey has been exactly that: step by step, growing gradually at its own pace.
Rapla's role in shaping Megapiksel isn't limited to just the early years. Over the years, a total of 11 people from Rapla have worked at Megapiksel.Every member of the original team went through Rapla's schools from start to finish, and only after that did their path lead on to schools in Tallinn and elsewhere.
Hannes's own first encounters with entrepreneurship also trace back to Rapla. The "Entrepreneurship" course taught at Rapla Vesiroosi Gymnasium, led by teacher Tarmo Peterson, offered a practical, real-world view of building and running a company. That's where the ideas and skills that later proved useful in founding Megapiksel first took shape.
An important pillar of Rapla's creative community has been the Rapla Kaader Film Festival, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. At this year's festival, Hannes, Ergo Pajuväli, and Andreas put together the opening actbringing the audience a short film and a musical performance.

Today, the Megapiksel that started in Rapla operates across Estonia and a little in Dubai too, but our roots and values are still strongly tied to the local business community.
Thank you to Äripäev and the organizers of the Rapla County TOP for the recognition.
