Megapiksel's new project manager: introducing Getri 👋

👋 Meet our newest team member, Getri!
Getri has been with us for a few months now, and in that time it's become clear that Getri definitely doesn't stick to just one role. As a marketing project manager, Getri analyzes, creates, leads — and is also the party DJ. We asked about what inspires Getri, both at work and in life more broadly.
What's your job title, and what do you actually do?
Marketing project manager. But it's easier to ask what I don't do. I even made a meme about it on LinkedIn. When it's needed, I analyze ad results and use that to build a new, better-performing campaign. When it's needed, I build the strategy. Other times I develop creative ideas instead, or put together a marketing report, or direct the filming of a testimonial video and write the script for it too.
It's the kind of work that's oriented toward better solutions and results.
What were you doing before joining Megapiksel?
I worked as a marketer at a fintechstartup, and I finished my master's degree at EBS (Estonian Business School).
What does a typical workday start with for you?
Not very original, but I turn on my cute pink computer. Then it's emails and Slack, and priority items first.
What makes Megapiksel special, in your view?
First of all, how systematic everything is here. Lots of templates and checklists of all kinds, to keep the work efficient. I was really impressed by that. Also, the healthy and warm attitude toward colleagues and partners, and genuinely friendly, great people. You don't run into that too often these days.
What's your superpower at work?
can't really say myself, so I asked a colleague.
Emma thought I'm funny and that I work humor into my job too. And curiosity! I love constantly looking into things and finding stuff out.
A sentence you say every day, or too often?
Omg. Super. Mega.
What moment from your time at Megapiksel so far has stuck with you the most?
The great team events, and the memes we made for CompuCash, which I got the ideas for thanks to working as a server back in school.
A great client you've already worked with, and what's given you the most satisfaction?
CompuCash, the point-of-sale system. When a client hasn't done marketing before and you get to set the direction yourself, there's so much freedom in that. I also worked as a server as a teenager and used CompuCash myself, so I know how good the system is. That gives me good grounding for sensing which messages to use in the ads to actually bring in inquiries.
If you weren't in marketing, then…?
I could also see myself in the PR world, or somewhere that still lets me interact with people.
Guilty pleasure?
Pepsi Max with ice, TikTok, a gym addiction, and pretty things.
Recommend one song, movie, book, or podcast, that changes lives.
Every stage of life has some good film, book, or song that felt life-changing at that moment.
My first memory of a life-changing book was J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye," and for films, for example, an older adaptation of "Jane Eyre" based on Charlotte Brontë's book, and an obscure documentary about the hippie movement that I saw on ETV (Estonian public television) as a kid.
